Living Life, Loving Home

What happens when the years of hard work are behind you, the children have grown, and life finally gives you the time to slow down? For some, it is an opportunity to rediscover themselves. For others, it is a chance to enjoy the simple things they once had little time for. And for some, it is about finding a place where everything finally feels right.

For Ruby Ordoñez, that place is The Mandara in Silang, Cavite.

Having experienced a fulfilling career as a bank manager in one of the Philippines’ leading banks, Ruby grew to become a woman filled with the confidence and care she needed to have to handle the world. Consequently, balancing her career while caring for her young children proved to be quite a challenge. But still, Ruby did not let these get in the way of building a good life with her family, especially with how her children were able to grow into the successful and well-established individuals that they are today.

“From everything I’ve experienced, I know I did something good,” Ruby said. “I did well.”

Once she retired, she did not immediately set to rest. With the brimming energy she still had, she tried to take numerous paths that she felt would complete her journey as a woman driven by her ambition. Eventually, she decided to settle down and try her hand in business and investments. It was also around this time that she met Suntrust.

Her sister had bought a unit in Suntrust Parkview and invited Ruby to do the same. When Ruby learned about Suntrust Parkview’s features and accessibility, she immediately took a liking to the project, which made investing in the project the expected conclusion. It wasn’t long before her decision that she also decided to invest in Suntrust Capitol Plaza.

Her journey as a Suntrust investor also opened the door to meeting Chatt Malabayabas, Sales Division Head for the Andromeda Division, and now one of Ruby’s closest friends. It was Chatt who encouraged her to buy a property in The Mandara in Silang, Cavite. She initially bought a house in the project as a vacation home before she decided to live there permanently.

Apart from her home, she also owns another house and lot property in The Mandara as part of her investment portfolio.

“The thing that I love most about here is that it’s so quiet, as if you’re far from the city. You can relax, and there’s no heavy traffic and pollution,” Ruby said. “It’s really a nice place for retirement.”

Nowadays, Ruby spends the rest of her retirement days in contentment inside her charming Mandara home. Ruby had described herself as a homebody, enjoying her day-to-day life taking care of her garden, decorating her house, and spending time with her pets.

“My living here in The Mandara is heaven for me,” she said. “I’m very happy, content, and at peace here.”

Today, Ruby shared how content she is with her life. Her only wish is to live longer, allowing her to spend more time with her loved ones and watch her family grow into the best versions of themselves. After years of hard work and sacrifice, she now finds herself in a place of fulfillment, finally able to bask in the fruits of her labor and cherish the life she has built.

“I feel blessed with all the things that I have accomplished in my life,” Ruby said. “I don’t have any regrets about having a house in The Mandara. This, for me, is the fulfillment of my life.”
