Suntrust at 28: Celebrating People, Communities, and a Brighter Future

Suntrust Properties, Inc., a Megaworld subsidiary, celebrated its 28th  anniversary with a series of events honoring the people and communities that have shaped nearly three decades of building homes and sharing hearts.  With the theme BEACONS OF HOPE, Suntrust reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing both its employees and its communities through acts of malasakit. 

Guided by its brand promise, “Suntrust and Beyond,”  the company  remains grounded in its mission to serve Filipinos across Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao—symbolized by the three lines in its 28th Anniversary logo. The arrow pointing forward reflects a commitment to progress, resilience, and creating communities that uplift lives.

From simple surprises for its employees, to its annual corporate social responsibility programs (CSR), Suntrust’s 28th Anniversary celebrated not only the years it has built homes and neighborhoods, but also the lives and stories that continue to be uplifted.

Recognizing the People that Built Suntrust

Suntrust’s milestones are the result of the dedication and hard work of its employees and leaders. To show appreciation, the company organized a week-long series of surprise treats from November 11-14, 2025 for its staff, including all-time favorites such as taho, ice cream, and pancit, along with exclusive Suntrust memorabilia. 

The week culminated in a grand anniversary celebration on November 14, featuring a Thanksgiving Mass and an Anniversary Program at One World Square, Taguig City, and a Happy After Hours event at Whisky Park. The celebration provided an opportunity for recognition and connection, as employees came together to share laughter, delicious food, and lively music.



“We want everyone to embrace the value of 'malasakit',” shared Atty. Basilio C. Almazan Jr., Senior Vice President of Suntrust Properties. “We are a family. It is the responsibility of everyone to take care of each other without fail.”

Through these simple gifts, Suntrust continues to strengthen bonds within its workforce, fostering a more united and inspired team committed to the company’s shared vision.

Building Brighter Tomorrows Through Meaningful Gestures

Beyond its employees, Suntrust is also committed to uplifting the communities in the country. In partnership with local officials, the company organized a Gift-Giving and Food Rescue Program for the children of Barangay Talipapa, Quezon City on November 15, 2025. The event featured engaging and educational activities, homemade breakfast and lunch meals, and simple treats like popcorn and taho, creating a morning of fun-filled memories for the children of Barangay Talipapa. 

Meanwhile, another group of Suntrust volunteers donated office equipment to Barangay Gibraltar in Baguio City on November 12, 2025, supporting improved local services and enhancing the barangay’s operational efficiency. These coordinated efforts across multiple locations highlight Suntrust’s dedication to addressing community needs and fostering a meaningful and lasting impact.

A Home Where Malasakit could be Found in Every Corner

Moreover, Suntrust reaffirmed its long-standing commitment to the homeowners and communities it has cultivated over the years. Demonstrating its core value of malasakit, the company organized a medical mission for the residents of Suntrust Shanata on November 15, 2025, providing a meaningful avenue for accessible healthcare. Supported by volunteer physicians and medicine donors, the initiative offered free medical consultations and medications, addressing the community’s immediate health needs in a thoughtful manner.

In line with this commitment, Suntrust also distributed wheelchairs and canes to residents with limited mobility. These donations serve as a testament to the company’s dedication to fostering inclusive and supportive communities. Through these efforts, Suntrust continues to show its vision of building not only quality homes but also spaces where every resident feels valued and cared for.

Nurturing Community Connections

Suntrust also fostered a strong sense of community through engaging activities that brought residents together alongside the medical mission at Suntrust Shanata. From food booths, interactive games, to homeowner engagement programs, neighbors are able to connect and build lasting relationships. These activities not only provide entertainment but also the spirit that make each Suntrust community feel like home.

As Suntrust President Atty. Harrison M. Paltongan shared, “Suntrust’s 28th anniversary reflects our vision of becoming a source of hope and brighter futures for Filipinos. Through our outreach events, we create spaces where lives become more connected.”
