Imagine a world where your home is right next to your office, and all the places where you get your necessities, leisure and relaxation.

That image probably gave you a happy grin. But know that it isn’t too far-fetched, with Suntrust Properties Inc. unveiling its newest development, Washington Heights in Dasmariñas, Cavite.

“We are building a contemporary Asian-inspired community with modernity and convenience in mind,” declared Jerry Rubis, first vice president for Sales and Marketing of Suntrust, in an interview with Inquirer Property.

Washington Heights is a premier residential and mixed-use development promising a “blend of accessibility, modernity and nature [that makes it] a highly attractive destination for residents and investors alike.”

Fast growing economy

Cavite’s pioneering builders, including Suntrust Properties, traditionally offered horizontal developments with house-and-lot units to service even the people working in nearby Metro Manila. Cavite was once a bedroom community, indeed.

But that description is outdated now. Decades of migration turned Cavite into one of the Philippines’ most populous provinces. Parallel to the movement was an urban spillover south of the capital. The twin events led to economic vibrancy, manifesting in the presence of retail hubs, industrial zones, integrated communities, and so much more.

“Cavite has one of the fastest-growing economies in the country with an annual growth rate of 9.2 percent in 2022,” Rubis said. He added that Dasmariñas, where Washington Heights is, showed that prosperity in the presence of “major business centers, prestigious universities, hospitals, commercial centers, and golf courses.”

A green oasis

Washington Heights is Suntrust’s first mid-rise condominium project in Cavite.

The four-tower development, which rises within Washington Place along Emilio Aguinaldo Highway, will provide various configurations that appeal to the diverse population making up today’s Cavite. It will offer studio to two-bedroom units reflecting Suntrust’s high regard for dwellers.

Washington Heights will foster the suburban vibe as a low-density project. Its amenities ensure a healthy and tight-knit community. Residents will get access to a swimming pool, playground, landscaped garden, fitness gym, function hall, kids’ indoor play area, hotel-like lobby and skygarden. It is also gated and secured 24/7.

“We have ensured ample open spaces for residents to enjoy, creating a green oasis for relaxation after a long day,” said Rubis. “Additionally, commercial establishments will be developed to enhance the convenience of daily living.”

Accessible location

Accessibility is another strength, he explained, as “Washington Heights enjoys a strategic location near major business centers, industrial parks, prestigious universities, hospitals and scenic golf courses.”

This upcoming development is a 15-minute drive from Tagaytay and enjoys proximity to South Luzon Expressway and the Cavite-Laguna Expressway.

Rubis said Washington Heights was well-suited to first-time property seekers, both seasoned investors and portfolio starters, and foreign nationals whether relocating for good or here for work or business. Improved infrastructure also makes it a viable address for people working in Metro Manila.

Friendly payment terms further make this revolutionary address within reach for those desiring a modern, harmonious life.

“[I]t is no longer a surprise that we are witnessing a remarkable shift in [Cavite’s] residential landscape. From traditional house-and-lot communities, there is now a growing trend toward modern condominium developments within integrated townships,” Rubis said.

“This project will continue to improve the skyline of Cavite, contributing to its robust growth. This project is a testament to our commitment to providing quality and affordable homes to the Filipino community. Whether it is a horizontal or vertical community, our goal remains to address the needs of home seekers,” Rubis concluded.
